Established in 2006, the Jurong Medical Centre is a patient-centred health hub providing services that not only meets patients’ needs, but also empowers patients to care for themselves, by offering knowledge and support.

JMC offers a range of services including outpatient specialists, diagnostic and day surgery services, chronic disease management, health screenings and promotion programmes.

An initiative by partners AH, NUH, NHG Diagnostics and NHG Pharmacy, the JMC experiments a new way of healthcare delivery, with General Practitioners (GPs) and chronic disease management as vital components.

The JMC augments GPs’ care to patients by providing supplementary and ancillary services for all levels of complexity of patients. For the intended purpose, JMC congregates specialists (doctors/allied health), healthcare provider (tenants) and service providers (retail) under one roof. For minor illnesses, patients will be advised to see their family GPs in nearby vicinity.

JMC aims to be a convenient place that sees to the healthcare needs of patients, without them having to travel to a hospital. This also means value for money, as JMC offers quality services and packages more affordable than those offered in hospitals.

In addition, JMC’s Day Surgery Centre is designed to enable patients to go through a hassle-free admission, preparation, surgical and discharge procedures on the same day with minimal delays and at a cost far below than an in-hospital stay.

The Day Surgery Centre has two operating rooms, with specific rooms dedicated to and equipped especially for eye care, general surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology and ear, nose and throat procedures.

The Endoscopy Centre has a full range of endoscopy services including cancer screening, evaluation of bowel habit disorders, gastric pain, vomiting or bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract.
