IMH offers a multi-faceted and comprehensive range of psychiatric services targeted to meet the special needs of 3 groups of people - children and adolescents, adults and the elderly.

There are 7 clinical departments, namely: general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, community psychiatry, geriatric psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, early psychosis intervention and addiction medicine. For the treatment of more specific disorders, there are sub-specialty clinics such as the Anxiety and Mood Clinic, Sleep Disorder Clinic and the Sexual Dysfunction Clinic.

The hospital’s multi-disciplinary approach to patient care is supported by the Nursing, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy and Medical Social Work departments.

IMH also provides integrated and accessible care to our patients through 3 Behavioural Medicine Clinics located in Viking Road (Alexandra), within the Polyclinic in Geylang and at the Health Promotion Board (HPB) Building in Outram. Our Child Guidance Clinic (CGC) is located at the HPB Building and also at IMH.

In addition to these satellite clinics, IMH runs an extensive range of therapeutic activities at 3 Day Centres located at Buangkok Green Medical Park, Bukit Batok and Alexandra.

Apart from inpatient and outpatient services for the mentally ill, IMH runs mental health education programmes for the general public. Within corporate settings, IMH’s Corporate Consulting Services unit offers a comprehensive workplace emotional health programme and service which include crisis management workshops and coaching sessions. IMH also coordinates and oversees training of clinicians in psychiatry and conducts research related to mental health. Over the years, IMH has established a significant reputation for quality psychiatry research.
