NHG offers 4 medical career progression tracks that will allow you to pursue career goals according to your different interests and competencies.
The various career paths that are available are as follows:
Specialist Track is designed for doctors who wish to be trained as specialists.
Residential Physician Track is designed for doctors who do not aspire to be specialists, but prefer to remain working in a hospital setting, after completion of their Medical Officer bond (applicable for local medical graduates from National University of Singapore NUS) and after attaining a minimum of 5 years experience as Medical Officer (post-housemanship).
Family Physician Track is designed for doctors who attain Masters of Medicine (Family Medicine) and who wish to pursue a career in primary healthcare/family medicine within NHG Polyclinics.
Clinical Research Track is designed for doctors who wish to work primarily as clinician-scientists or researchers.
