The Healthcare Humanity Awards was launched in 2004 as an annual event to continue the legacy of the Courage Awards, which were given out in 2003 to recognise healthcare workers who fought the deadly SARS virus with uncommon valour and selfless dedication. This is the third year that the Courage Fund is giving out the awards. This year, we received more than 100 nominations, out of which 49 were chosen to be the winners including those from organisations such as the National Skin Centre and Ikids Paediatric Practice, who are winning the awards for the first time. |
