Today, The Courage Fund received a generous donation of $200,000 from the Lee Foundation, Singapore.
Singaporeans overseas are also responding to the call for funds. To show their appreciation for the frontline healthcare workers here, Singaporeans working for the Singapore Embassy in Washington sent in their donations.
Various other companies donated $48,750 and members of the public contributed another $125,915.34. That brings the total amount raised to date to $2,553,131.30.
This amount does not include the government’s $1M contribution and dollar-for-dollar match.
The daily breakdown is as follows:

How to make a donation to The Courage Fund?
(A) Organisations
Organisations interested to raise funds towards The Courage Fund are welcome to write in with their promotion concept with details such as type of product, % of sales revenue to be pledged and wordings to be used in the advertising and/or promotional materials. Please write in to: The Courage Fund, c/o National Healthcare Group, 6 Commonwealth Lane, Level 6 GMTI Building, Singapore 149547. Alternatively, email us at couragefund@nhg.com.sg or call 6471 5933.
(B) By Cheque
A crossed cheque made payable to “The Courage Fund” should be sent to The Courage Fund, c/o National Healthcare Group, 6 Commonwealth Lane, Level 6 GMTI Building, Singapore 149547.
For the purpose of issuing receipts, donors are encouraged to include their full name, address and contact number on the reverse sides of cheques. Donors should not send any cash by mail. Cash donations can be made in person at National Healthcare Group office.
(C) By Phone
From now till April 30, members of public can donate to the fund by calling 1900-112-8811. Singtel customers can also use the *SEND services by calling *8811. Every call represents a $5 donation and Singtel will match dollar-for-dollar.
(D) Community Chest Donation Boxes
The 68 donation boxes are available at:
- Public hospitals and polyclinics
- Thomson Medical Centre
- Sin Chong Medical Hall (at Pearl Centre)
- Nanyang Polytechnic, National University of Singapore (Medicine Faculty), Raffles Junior College
Please note that the donation box at ITE Bishan has been removed with effect from 21 April as their fundraising campaign for The Courage Fund has completed.
