The Courage Fund has exceeded $1M

Even in these hard times, generous Singaporeans continue to rise to the occasion with their spontaneous donations to the Fund.

Today, they sent in a total of $107,772 in cheques. Another 4,000 made calls to Singtel’s hotline number 1900-112-8811 and * SEND 8811 number. Each call is worth $5. With Singtel’s dollar for dollar match, these calls are worth $40,000.

That brings today’s total donations from the public to $147,772.

Various companies also sent cheques totaling $4,700.

The cumulative total collected for The Courage Fund to date is $1,019,788.06.

Community Chest Donation Boxes
Today, 15 more donation boxes were distributed to more NHG institutions (AH, NNI and NSC), Thomson Medical Centre, Sin Chong Medical Hall (at Pearl Centre) and Nanyang Polytechnic.

On 14 April, 52 donation boxes were placed at various NHG and SingHealth public hospitals and polyclinics and schools (Raffles Junior College and National University of Singapore).

How to make a donation to The Courage Fund?

By Cheque:
A crossed cheque made payable to “The Courage Fund” should be sent to The Courage Fund, c/o National Healthcare Group, 6 Commonwealth Lane, Level 6 GMTI Building, Singapore 149547.

By Phone:
From now till April 30, members of public can donate to the fund by calling 1900-112-8811. Singtel customers can also use the *SEND services by calling *8811. Every call represents a $5 donation and Singtel will match dollar-for-dollar.
