Writeup on IHL Healthcare Leaders Series: Medical Leadership & Leadership Development

On 4 Sep 09, the Institute of Healthcare Leadership (IHL) organized a talk on “Medical Leadership & Leadership Development” by Assoc Prof John Clark. Prof Clark is instrumental in medical leadership development within NHS, and is also responsible for establishing the Institute for Healthy Leadership for Department of Health, Western Australia (WA). IHL is privileged to have invited him to conduct a sharing session on his work with the NHS and WA on medical leadership during his 1-day stopover in Singapore.

Prof Clark has formerly accepted our invitation to be Advisor to NHG’s Institute of Healthcare Leadership. He will provide advice on the institute’s healthcare development works and also provide the network to relevant experts and centres of excellence in healthcare leadership.

With Prof Clark on board, we hope to be able to tap on his expertise to enhance our current leadership development and talent management programmes.

This talk is the second installment of the IHL Healthcare Leaders Series. Upcoming on Friday, 23 October 09, IHL will be organising another talk on “ACGME Standards & Requirements” by A/Prof Thomas Aretz and Prof Elizabeth Armstrong from Partners Harvard Medical International, and Prof Robert K. Kamei from Duke-NUS.
