Institute of Healthcare Quality (IHQ)

Recognising that the key to delivering the best patient care possible is through the transformation of healthcare quality across the entire continuum of healthcare providers, the Institute of Healthcare Quality (IHQ) was established.

In improving Healthcare Quality, IHQ advocates professional accountability, a system of performance monitoring and improvements, supportive infrastructures, and a patient-centric culture that highly regards safety, openness, and staff empowerment. IHQ supports the achievement of these objectives through training, encouraging knowledge-sharing, fostering collaborations between healthcare providers, as well as events that drive the quality culture.

    Our ERM Journey
    In recent years, there has been a regulatory drive in Singapore towards enhanced governance and risk management for public listed companies as well as government agencies.

    Although National Healthcare Group(NHG) is not required to follow the Singapore Code of Corporate Governance, our Board and Senior Management recognised the value of good risk management as part of corporate governance and have supported and approved the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) initiative in 2010 for the whole NHG and hence the start of our ERM Journey
